Since 2024, Pipal Tree has been supporting our partner NGO in south Nepal, The Mithila Wildlife Trust (MWT), in its snake rescue and snakebite mortality mitigation programme. This has been funded in turn entirely by a major Trust in the UK.
The programme has been a huge success not only in the safe and humane rescue of wildlife but in preventing human-wildlife conflict that can be fatal for one or both parties. I am very pleased to share this report from MWT on its snake activities last year – a fabulous read!
