In December 2025 we started a new urban wildlife corridor following the course of the Bagmati River that runs through the centre of Kathmandu. This is a 4,100m2 area that Lily’s Leaves finally planted out in March 2026.

We have been pleased to plant sections of the forest in memory of Sir Alec Reed, Founder of the Reed Foundation and of The Big Give, who died in December 2025 Mrs Beth Holmes, our Founder’s sister-in-law, who passed away in January 2026 (gifts totalling £2,389 were made in her memory) and of Joe Greenslade, who tragically took his own life in October 2025. Joe’s family and friends are taking on The Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for the project.
