The short answer is that we hit our target!
The appeal ended at noon yesterday with our raising £32,026 towards our £32,000 target, with an additional benefit of £2,312.75. This amount represents the second most-raised funds from the 187 participating charities. There were additional spin off benefits like the addition of 23 new supporters (the Big Give acts as s showcase for a charity’s work to the wider public) and a good number of supporters seeking further information about Will donations.
The impact on our beneficiaries will be massive not just in our capacity to provide extra female tutors and higher education bursaries to girls from the poorest families, but also in continued training and employment for deaf girls at the Lily’s Leaves social enterprise in Kathmandu.
