Our Approach

Cost-effectiveness

We are committed to ensuring that as much funding as possible reaches the point of need in Nepal. We achieve this by:

  • Operating as a home-based charity and maximising the use of volunteer support
  • Partnering with other charities to make the best use of resources — for example, sharing the costs of our refuge for rape survivors with sister charity Our Sansar.
  • Doubling the value and impact of donations by using award-winning ‘Big Give’ matched funding campaigns

Focus

We concentrate our efforts on a small number of carefully chosen projects within two defined regions of Nepal. We work through no more than three trusted local partner organisations, ensuring our resources deliver maximum grassroots impact without being stretched too thin.

Respect for our supporters

We value our family of supporters and treat them as we would wish to be treated ourselves. This means communicating sensitively and in line with their preferences. We are also deeply committed to honouring the intentions of supporters who leave gifts in their Wills, ensuring these final gifts are managed exactly as they intended.
